The following two Android Market apps are recommended for smartphone users interested in international stock markets or wanting to research different American indices (EMA, MOM, OBV, ROC, SI, MACD, etc.):
World Stock Index Viewer is an app with an interesting interface – it displays weather icons on each of the 5 major continents to indicate rises and falls in global indices.
ChartPro is a tool for monitoring the U.S. stock market, with live quote updates and technical analysis charts for users to learn about investing.

Big Time Gangsta – Experience the Thrills of the Streets
While most games are centered on a valiant hero who needs assistance to do something good, well-known developers Glu Mobile have put out the Big Time Gangsta app, where the focus is street survival and criminal deeds. BBC News – Secret Weapon for Study Abroad Applicants
BBC, Britain’s public broadcast station, is known for its abundant sources and quality content. As such, teachers often recommend BBC News to students studying for the IELTS, and now there is an app from BBC on the Android Market that provides smartphone users with an option to read on-the-go. Learners can peruse news articles, or train their listening skills by watching BBC news clips or tuning in to BBC’s Internet broadcast.
This is the official BBC app – the interface is smooth and the homepage can be dragged left or right to browse through headlines.
BeyondPod Podcast Manager – Learn English while Reading, Watching, or Listening to the News
RSS feeds allow users to subscribe to news sites and blogs, and podcasts provide audio or video feeds like news videos, broadcasts, language education material, etc. Both functions have been available on smartphones for a while now, but Taiwanese smartphone users either have never tried them or do not use them on a regular basis. Although this could be attributed to the lack of feeds available in traditional Chinese, more likely than not these free sources are not being used to their full potential mainly because finding and organizing feeds can be a bit of a hassle.
Cartoonatic: Instantly View and Record Artsy Videos
Is there only one way to record videos on the iPhone? After installing Cartoonatic, videos can be filmed in a variety of styles. The difference between Cartoonatic and video editing apps is the live preview feature – users can actually see the style effects as the video is being recorded, instead of just applying them after the fact.

Upon starting up the app users are immediately presented with the recording frame. A single tap switches between filters, which are mostly cartoon and sketch style.
