Want to check out top music charts from around the world? No need to search for them individually – Top 100 Music Free is an app that lets users check out the Top 100 song charts in twenty different countries. Well, that’s what it’s supposed to do. In reality, the top charts from most countries do not load properly – lists from England, the United States, and Japan are available, but sadly, Chinese top charts are not.

Touching the round country flag icon in the upper right-hand corner brings up a scrolling list of countries.

Unfortunately, only charts from England, Japan, and the U.S. load successfully.

Users can search for Top 100 album charts, singles charts, and YouTube videos for popular songs.

Once a song is selected, users can listen to a 30-second sample – if they like what they hear, a press of a button will link to the song in the iTunes store. The song’s YouTube video is also displayed.

However, within the app, only clips of YouTube videos are available – watching the entire video requires opening up the link in a browser.

This iOS app, with both free and paid versions available, is innovative, well-produced, and easy-to-use, but the connection is unstable – sometimes the charts load, sometimes they don’t. If the loading issues were fixed, Top 100 Music would be a worthwhile app for keeping up with the latest in popular music.
