RSS feeds allow users to subscribe to news sites and blogs, and podcasts provide audio or video feeds like news videos, broadcasts, language education material, etc. Both functions have been available on smartphones for a while now, but Taiwanese smartphone users either have never tried them or do not use them on a regular basis. Although this could be attributed to the lack of feeds available in traditional Chinese, more likely than not these free sources are not being used to their full potential mainly because finding and organizing feeds can be a bit of a hassle.
